Born with the Moon in Purva Bhadrapada

In Vedic astrology, the mansion the Moon was in when you were born is your birth star. It also sets where your life’s chapters (dashas) begin: a life born under Purva Bhadrapada begins in a Jupiter chapter.

A chapter of growth: learning, teachers, children, faith and wider horizons.

A whole Jupiter chapter lasts 16 years. You arrive partway through it, depending on how far the Moon had travelled through Purva Bhadrapada.

Nakshatras are counted in the sidereal zodiac, which follows the stars. It sits about 24° behind the tropical zodiac most Western horoscopes use, so your Moon’s Western sign and its Vedic sign can differ.
