Born with the Moon in Uttara Phalguni

In Vedic astrology, the mansion the Moon was in when you were born is your birth star. It also sets where your life’s chapters (dashas) begin: a life born under Uttara Phalguni begins in a Sun chapter.

A chapter of standing up: recognition, authority, your father and belief in yourself.

A whole Sun chapter lasts 6 years. You arrive partway through it, depending on how far the Moon had travelled through Uttara Phalguni.

Nakshatras are counted in the sidereal zodiac, which follows the stars. It sits about 24° behind the tropical zodiac most Western horoscopes use, so your Moon’s Western sign and its Vedic sign can differ.
